Jeffrey Adams: podcast appearances and interviews

Jeffrey David Adams is a mathematician at the University of Maryland. His research focuses on unitary representations of reductive Lie groups. Adams led the project Atlas of Lie Groups and Representations, which was dedicated to calculating the characters of the representations of E8; this extensive project has been compared to the Human Genome Project in scope. He co-authored a monograph with Dan Barbasch and David Vogan that presents a geometric approach to the Langlands classification and Arthur's conjectures in the real case. Adams completed his Ph.D. at Yale University in 1981 under the supervision of Gregg Zuckerman. In 2012, he was recognized as a fellow of the American Mathematical Society.
