Jeff Black: podcast appearances and interviews

Jeff Black is an American singer-songwriter and the senior pastor of Five Forks Baptist Church. Originally from Kansas City, Missouri, he is now based in Nashville, Tennessee. Black is known for his impressionistic songwriting style, which has been described as smart while maintaining a strong emotional undercurrent. His songs have gained recognition through covers by artists such as Alison Krauss, Waylon Jennings, Sam Bush, Jerry Douglas, and BlackHawk. Notably, BlackHawk's cover of Black's song "That's Just About Right" reached the Top 10 in the country charts in 1996, and their cover of "King of the World" reached the Top 30 in 1998. Black co-wrote the title track "Circles Around Me" with Sam Bush for Bush's 2009 Grammy-nominated album of the same name. In addition to his songwriting, Black has released ten self-produced albums and tours extensively. He has also been recognized as a digital music pioneer by NPR, notably for his podcast Black Tuesdays.
