Jason Gillespie: podcast appearances and interviews

Jason Neil Gillespie, born on 19 April 1975, is an Australian cricket coach and former international cricketer. He represented Australia in all three formats of the game and was known as a right-arm fast bowler. Gillespie was also a capable lower-order batsman, notable for his unbeaten score of 201 in his last Test match, which remains the highest score by a night-watchman in international cricket. He made his One Day International debut in August 1996 against Sri Lanka at Colombo during the Singer World Series and his Test debut in November 1996 against the West Indies at Sydney. Gillespie played at the first-class level for South Australia, Yorkshire, and Glamorgan. He was an Australian Institute of Sport Australian Cricket Academy scholarship holder in 1995. Notably, he was the first acknowledged Indigenous male cricketer to represent Australia in Test cricket. Gillespie announced his retirement from first-class cricket in Australia in February 2008. Following this, he played for the Ahmedabad Rockets in the unauthorized Indian Cricket League and retired from all first-class cricket at the end of the 2008 English domestic season.
