James Lankford: podcast appearances and interviews

James Paul Lankford, born on March 4, 1968, is an American politician and Southern Baptist minister serving as the senior United States senator from Oklahoma. He has held this position since 2015. As a member of the Republican Party, Lankford previously represented Oklahoma's 5th congressional district in the U.S. House of Representatives from 2011 to 2015. Before his congressional service, he was president of the Falls Creek Baptist Conference Center, a youth camp operated by the Baptist General Convention of Oklahoma, from 1996 to 2009. He is an ordained minister in the Southern Baptist tradition. Lankford was elected to the House of Representatives in 2010 and was reelected in 2012. In 2014, he was elected to the Senate in a special election following Senator Tom Coburn's planned resignation. He was subsequently reelected in 2016 and 2022. His career combines experience in religious leadership and legislative service.
