Jack Unterweger: podcast appearances and interviews

Johann Jack Unterweger was an Austrian serial killer born on August 16, 1950, and died on June 29, 1994. He was responsible for at least twelve murders across Austria, West Germany, Czechoslovakia, and the United States. Unterweger's criminal activities began with a conviction in 1976 for a single murder. During his time in prison, he engaged in extensive writing, which attracted the attention of Austrian intellectuals who viewed his work as evidence of rehabilitation. Following significant lobbying, Unterweger was released on parole in 1990. After his release, he became a minor celebrity and pursued careers as a playwright and journalist. Despite this, he soon resumed his killing spree, which resulted in additional murders. In June 1994, he was convicted of nine more murders. Facing life in prison, Unterweger hung himself to death.
