J. Harrison Ghee: podcast appearances and interviews

J. Harrison Ghee, born on June 16, 1989, is an American actor, singer, and dancer renowned for their work on Broadway. They initially gained recognition for their portrayal of Lola in Kinky Boots. Ghee has continued to build a notable career in musical theater, originating the role of Andre Mayem in the musical Mrs. Doubtfire both on Broadway and at the 5th Avenue Theatre in 2019. In December 2022, they originated the role of Jerry D Daphne in the stage musical Some Like It Hot, which is based on the 1959 film of the same name. Ghee's performance in this role earned them the Tony Award for Best Actor in a Musical at the 76th Tony Awards in 2023. Their achievement was historic as they, along with Alex Newell, became the first openly nonbinary actors to be nominated for and to win a Tony Award. In 2024, Ghee also received the Grammy Award for Best Musical Theater Album at the 66th Annual Grammy Awards, further highlighting their prominence in musical theater.
