In 2013, he became the first book editor at BuzzFeed and hosted a live morning show titled AM to DM with Saeed Jones. Fitzgerald is also the author of the children's book How to Be a Pirate and is recognized for his frequent appearances on The Today Show, where he shares book recommendations. His work spans memoir, children's literature, and media engagement, reflecting his broad interests and contributions to contemporary literature.
