Ilona Maher: podcast appearances and interviews

Ilona Delsing Rosa Maher, born on August 12, 1996, is a former professional rugby union player and a television personality. She began playing rugby at age 17 and achieved notable success as a college athlete at Quinnipiac University, winning three National Intercollegiate Rugby Association championships. Maher made her debut in 2018 and later represented the United States national rugby sevens team at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, where she contributed to winning a bronze medal. She continued her international career, competing at the 2024 Paris Olympics. In addition to her athletic accomplishments, Maher gained popularity as a contestant on Dancing With the Stars. Known for her confidence and body positivity, she has become recognized as a role model beyond her sports achievements. In December 2024, she signed with the Bristol Bears to play in the UK’s Premiership Women’s Rugby league, beginning her stint with the team in January 2025.
