Ian Bentley: podcast appearances and interviews

Ian Robert Bentley was an English Anglican priest who served as Archdeacon of Lynn from 2018 until his death in 2022. Born on 28 April 1955, he was educated at Westcliff High School for Boys, the University of Sheffield, and Cranmer Hall, Durham. Prior to his ordination, Bentley pursued an earlier career as a teacher. He was ordained as a deacon in 1995 and as a priest in 1996. Bentley's early clerical work included a curacy in Mattishall, followed by service as Vicar of the Earsham group of parishes for seven years, and later as Vicar of St. Mark’s Oulton Broad for twelve years. During a sabbatical, he also served as Priest in charge at St Faith, Plumstead in Cape Town. His incumbencies also included Earsham, Oulton Broad, and St. Peter Mancroft. Bentley resigned his archdeaconry approximately one month before his death. He died on 31 May 2022, shortly after being diagnosed with stage four liver cancer.
