Hollie McNish: podcast appearances and interviews

Hollie McNish, born in 1983, is a British poet and author who divides her time between Cambridge and Glasgow. She has published four collections of poetry, including Papers in 2012, Cherry Pie and Why I Ride in 2015, and Plum in 2017. Additionally, she authored a poetic memoir titled Nobody Told Me in 2016, which explores themes of politics and parenthood and received the Ted Hughes Award for New Work in Poetry. The memoir has been translated into German, French, and Spanish. McNish's sixth publication, a cross-genre collection of poetry, memoir, and short stories titled Slug, and other things I've been told to hate, was released in 2021, and a further collection named Lobster was published in 2024. Her work extends into theater, having co-written a play called Offside with Sabrina Mahfouz in 2016, about the history of British women in football, which was published as a book in 2017. McNish also released an album of poetry and music, Versus, in 2014, which made her the first poet to record an album at Abbey Road Studios in London. Beyond her publications, she has written and performed poetry for various campaigns and organizations, including The Economist Education Foundation, Durex's campaign for orgasm equality, and The Eve Appeal.
