Harold Ramis: podcast appearances and interviews

Harold Allen Ramis was an American actor, comedian, and filmmaker born on November 21, 1944. He is known for his roles in films such as Egon Spengler in Ghostbusters and Ghostbusters II, as well as Russell Ziskey in Stripes, and also co-wrote these films. As a director, Ramis is credited with several comedies including Caddyshack, National Lampoon's Vacation, Groundhog Day, Analyze This, and Analyze That. He was the original head writer of the television series SCTV, on which he also performed, and contributed as a co-writer to notable films like Groundhog Day and National Lampoon's Animal House. The last film he was involved in as writer, producer, director, and actor was Year One, released in 2009. Ramis's work has had a lasting influence on generations of comedians, comedy writers, and actors. Filmmakers such as Jay Roach, Jake Kasdan, Adam Sandler, Judd Apatow, and the Farrelly brothers have cited his films as favorites. Alongside co-writer Danny Rubin, Ramis received the BAFTA Award for Best Original Screenplay for Groundhog Day.
