Hank Azaria: podcast appearances and interviews

Henry Albert Azaria is an American actor and producer born on April 25, 1964. He is widely recognized for his extensive voice work on the animated sitcom The Simpsons, a role he has held since 1989. Azaria provides voices for numerous characters including Moe Szyslak, Chief Wiggum, Superintendent Chalmers, and Apu Nahasapeemapetilon, among others. Despite having limited voice acting experience when he joined the show, he became a regular in its second season and has received four Primetime Emmy Awards for his work. Beyond animation, Azaria has appeared in various live-action films such as Quiz Show, Heat, The Birdcage, and Godzilla, earning a Screen Actors Guild Award for his performance in The Birdcage. He has also been featured in movies including Mystery Men, America’s Sweethearts, Shattered Glass, and Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian, along with voice roles in Anastasia for which he won an Annie Award. His television work extends to supporting roles in series like Mad About You and Friends, as well as appearances in television films such as Tuesdays with Morrie and Uprising. Azaria starred in the Showtime series Huff and the IFC sitcom Brockmire and earned a Primetime Emmy Award for his portrayal of Mitch Albom in Tuesdays with Morrie. He has also received a sixth Emmy nomination for his recurring role on Ray Donovan. Azaria made his Broadway debut as Lancelot in Spamalot, a performance that garnered him a Tony Award nomination, and returned to Broadway in The Farnsworth Invention.
