Gyles Brandreth: podcast appearances and interviews

Gyles Daubeney Brandreth, born on 8 March 1948, is a British broadcaster, writer, and former politician. Throughout his career, he has worked as a television presenter, theatre producer, journalist, author, and publisher. He was a presenter for TV-am's Good Morning Britain during the 1980s and has frequently appeared on Channel 4's game show Countdown and the BBC's The One Show. On radio, he has been a guest on the BBC Radio 4 programme Just a Minute. In 1992, Brandreth was elected as a Conservative Member of Parliament for the City of Chester, serving in the House of Commons until his defeat in the 1997 general election. Following his parliamentary career, he continued working in the media and developed his writing career, producing both fiction and non-fiction books. He is also known for his appearances as a public speaker.
