Grayson Perry: podcast appearances and interviews

Sir Grayson Perry, born on 24 March 1960, is an English artist, writer, broadcaster, performer, drag act, and singer. He is recognized for his distinctive ceramic vases, tapestries, and his commentary on the contemporary arts scene. Perry's work often features classical forms decorated with bright colors and depicts subjects that challenge their attractive appearance. His art includes strong autobiographical elements, with images of Perry as his female alter ego Claire and his childhood teddy bear Alan Measles frequently appearing. In addition to creating art, Perry has produced documentary television programs, curated exhibitions, and published several books. These include two autobiographies, one about his early life and artistic development and another reflecting on his career, as well as a graphic novel titled Cycle of Violence and a book about art called Playing to the Gallery. His illustrated sketchbooks and various writings on his work have also been published. Perry has held solo exhibitions at notable institutions such as The Andy Warhol Museum in Pittsburgh, the Wallace Collection in London, and the 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art in Japan. His work is part of permanent collections at the British Council, Arts Council, Crafts Council, Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam, Tate, and Victoria and Albert Museum. He was awarded the Turner Prize in 2003 and has been recognized as a significant figure in British culture, ranking among the most powerful cultural figures and participating in culturally iconic projects.
