George William Russell is a British racing driver born on February 15, 1998, who competes in Formula One for Mercedes. He began competitive kart racing at the age of seven and achieved early success, including back-to-back victories at the junior European Championship in 2011 and 2012. Russell progressed through junior formulae, winning the 2014 BRDC F4 Championship, and then claimed the 2017 GP3 Series title. In 2018, he won the FIA Formula 2 Championship with ART, becoming the fifth driver to win both titles in their rookie seasons.
