Genevieve Morris: podcast appearances and interviews

Genevieve Morris, born in 1967, is an Australian comedian and actress known for her work in television, stage, and advertising. She was a regular cast member on the comedy series Comedy Inc and has appeared in multiple police dramas including Blue Heelers and City Homicide. Morris has performed in various stage productions since the early 1990s, notably participating in the 2009 comedy show Spontaneous Broadway as Dame Helen Highwater alongside other performers. In advertising, she is recognized for her role as Barbara the bank manager in television commercials for ANZ bank, including a 2010 campaign. Morris was part of the ensemble cast of the short-lived series Ben Elton Live From Planet Earth in 2011 and was considered by some to be a breakout star of the show. She also appeared in Wednesday Night Fever in 2013 and starred as dispatch officer Carol in the crime comedy series No Activity. Additionally, she featured in a Doritos commercial that was runner-up in the 2016 Crash the Super Bowl competition. In 2017, Morris was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, which led her to step back from her role in the series Sando while undergoing treatment. She is currently in remission following chemotherapy. Despite her health challenges, Morris has continued her career with guest appearances on shows such as The Family Law and True Story with Hamish & Andy, along with ongoing stage work. In recent years, she has joined the cast of Squinters in its second season and was part of the cast for series two of Deadloch.
