Aneesh Paul Chopra, born on July 13, 1972, is an American executive currently serving as the chief strategy officer at CareJourney. He has previously held significant government positions, including serving as the first Chief Technology Officer of the United States from 2009 to 2012, appointed by President Barack Obama. Prior to that, Chopra was Virginia's Secretary of Technology under Governor Tim Kaine. He has also been a political candidate, seeking the Democratic nomination for Lieutenant Governor of Virginia in 2013. Chopra is the author of the book Innovative State: How New Technologies Can Transform Government, published in 2014. In addition to his role at CareJourney, he is a co-founder and president of the organization. His professional experience also includes serving as a senior advisor at the Albright Stonebridge Group starting in 2015.
