Gavin McInnes: podcast appearances and interviews

Gavin Miles McInnes, born on 17 July 1970, is a Canadian writer, podcaster, and commentator known for his association with far-right movements and controversial views. He is the founder of the Proud Boys, a militant organization that was designated a terrorist group in Canada and New Zealand after his departure. McInnes hosts the podcast Get Off My Lawn with Gavin McInnes on his website, Compound Censored. A co-founder of Vice magazine in 1996, he moved to the United States in 2001 when Vice Media relocated to New York City. During his tenure at Vice, he was regarded as a leading figure in the New York hipster subculture. Born to Scottish parents in Hertfordshire, England, McInnes emigrated to Canada during childhood. He graduated from Carleton University in Ottawa before relocating to Montreal, where he co-founded Vice with Suroosh Alvi and Shane Smith. Holding both Canadian and British citizenship, he resides in Larchmont, New York.
