Gabrielius Landsbergis, born on January 7, 1982, is a Lithuanian politician and diplomat who served as Lithuania's Minister of Foreign Affairs from December 2020 until November 2024 in the Šimonytė Cabinet. He previously served as a Member of the Seimas from 2016 to 2024, representing the Centras–Žaliakalnis constituency, and was a Member of the European Parliament from 2014 to 2016. During his time in the European Parliament, Landsbergis was involved in the Committee on International Trade and the Subcommittee on Security and Defence, focusing on global trade and defense policies. He has been the Chairman of the Homeland Union, Lithuania's center-right political party, since 2015, and under his leadership, the party became a prominent force in Lithuanian politics. Following the 2024 Lithuanian parliamentary election, where the party finished second, Landsbergis stepped down as chairman and chose not to take a seat in the Seimas, indicating a planned pause from politics.
