Mandy Krauthamer Cohen is an American internist and public health official who has held several prominent roles in healthcare leadership. She served as the 20th director of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention from 2023 to 2025. Prior to her CDC tenure, she was the executive vice president at Aledade and the chief executive officer of Aledade Care Solution, a healthcare company. Cohen earned a bachelor's degree in policy analysis and management from Cornell University, a medical degree from Yale School of Medicine, and a graduate degree in public health from Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. She served as the Health Secretary of the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services from 2017 to 2021.
