Dinesh D’Souza: podcast appearances and interviews

Dinesh Joseph D'Souza is an Indian-born American political commentator, author, and filmmaker known for his conservative viewpoints and controversial productions. Born in Mumbai, India, into Catholic parents, he moved to the United States as an exchange student and graduated from Dartmouth College. D'Souza served as a policy adviser in the administration of President Ronald Reagan and has been affiliated with institutions such as the American Enterprise Institute and the Hoover Institution. He became a naturalized U.S. citizen in 1991. D'Souza has authored over a dozen books, several of which have become New York Times bestsellers, and has produced numerous films, often exploring conservative political themes. Notably, his 2012 film 2016: Obama's America was based on his book The Roots of Obama's Rage and has been described as conspiracist and political in nature. He followed this with additional films including America: Imagine the World Without Her, Hillary's America, Death of a Nation, Trump Card, 2000 Mules, Police State, and Vindicating Trump. His work has generated significant controversy for promoting conspiracy theories and falsehoods, as well as for its provocative content. In 2014, D'Souza pleaded guilty to a felony charge related to illegal campaign contributions and was subsequently pardoned by President Donald Trump in 2018.
