Derren Brown: podcast appearances and interviews

Derren Brown, born on 27 February 1971, is an English mentalist, illusionist, and writer. He describes himself as a psychological illusionist and is known for performances that often aim to reveal the techniques used by those claiming supernatural powers such as faith healers and mediums. Brown's acts typically feature audience participation and humor, and are based on a combination of psychology, showmanship, magic, misdirection, and suggestion. He began his performing career in 1992 and made his television debut with the show Mind Control in 2000. Throughout his career, he has starred in several stage and TV productions, including Something Wicked This Way Comes in 2006 and Svengali in 2012, the latter earning him two Laurence Olivier Awards for Best Entertainment. In 2011, he produced The Experiments, which earned him a BAFTA for Best Entertainment Programme in 2012. Brown also expanded into Broadway with his 2019 stage show Secret. In addition to his performances, Brown has authored books aimed at both magicians and the general public, contributing to the fields of magic and psychological illusion.
