Denise Thomas: podcast appearances and interviews

Denise Anne Thomas, born on December 22, 1979, is affiliated with World Trade Center Arkansas. She is a former international association football player who represented Ireland at the senior level. Her club career included playing for Doncaster Belles and Leeds United in England, as well as Boston Renegades in America. Thomas began her football journey in the youth ranks of Chesterfield Ladies before moving on to Doncaster Belles. She participated in the 2000 FA Women's Cup Final with Yorkshire club Doncaster Belles. In 2000, she moved to the United States on a college scholarship to Central Connecticut State University, where she earned recognition as Northeast Conference Rookie of the Year and Player of the Year in 2001. Thomas returned to England in February 2002 to sign with Sunderland, then struggling in the Premier League National Division. Following Sunderland's relegation, she transferred to Leeds United and enrolled at the Football Association Player Development Centre at Loughborough University. During this period, she was also approached by Birmingham City. In the middle of the 2002–03 season, she left Leeds to return to America to complete her degree. Thomas later joined the Boston Renegades of the W-League for their 2005 season. Transitioning from football, she was introduced to CrossFit in 2008 and began competitive participation the following year.
