Deepak Chopra is an American author, New Age guru, and alternative medicine advocate. He is a prominent figure in the New Age movement, known for his books and videos on well-being. Chopra studied medicine in India before emigrating to the United States in 1970, where he completed a residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in endocrinology. In 1980, he became chief of staff at the New England Memorial Hospital.
