Debbie Lee: podcast appearances and interviews

Debbie Lee is the owner and publisher of Americas Mighty Warriors. She has made significant contributions to the recognition and development of women's Australian rules football in Australia. Lee played for the St Albans Spurs and began her football career in 1990 with the East Brunswick Scorpions before founding her own club, the Spurs, in 1992. Throughout her playing career, she received numerous accolades including five Helen Lambert Medals as the Victorian women's competition best and fairest, and she was named an All-Australian six times. Her leadership extended beyond playing as she served as the president of the Victorian Women's Football League. Lee also held executive roles within AFL Women's operations, working with the Melbourne Football Club in 2017 and the Western Bulldogs in 2018, where she was also the VFLW coach. Key initiatives during her tenure include the Melbourne-Western Bulldogs exhibition matches that contributed to the establishment of the AFL Women's league. In 2021, she was the first female inductee into the Australian Football Hall of Fame, recognized for her excellence on the field and her pivotal role in advancing women's Australian rules football.
