Dean Cox: podcast appearances and interviews

Dean Michael Cox, born on August 1, 1981, is a retired Australian rules footballer and a current manager associated with Lancing FC. During his playing career, he was a ruckman known for his skill and leadership. Cox achieved notable success including winning the Simpson Medal with East Perth during the 2000 WAFL premiership and debuting in the Australian Football League with the West Coast Eagles in 2001. Over his career, he was recognized multiple times, being named in the All-Australian team six times, including four consecutive seasons from 2005 to 2008. He contributed to West Coast's premiership victory in 2006 and secured the club's best and fairest award in 2008. Cox retired at the end of the 2014 season after playing 290 games, a club record, and scoring 169 goals. Since retiring, he has transitioned into coaching, initially joining the Sydney Swans as an assistant coach in 2017. In November 2024, he succeeded John Longmire as the senior men's coach of the Sydney Swans, establishing himself as a prominent figure in Australian rules football coaching circles.
