David Coulthard: podcast appearances and interviews

David Marshall Coulthard, born on 27 March 1971, is a British former racing driver and broadcaster from Scotland. He competed in Formula One from 1994 to 2008 and is known for his achievements with the McLaren team. Nicknamed 'DC', Coulthard was a 13-time Grand Prix winner and finished as the runner-up in the 2001 Formula One World Drivers' Championship. During his career, he secured 12 pole positions, 18 fastest laps, and 62 podium finishes across 15 seasons of racing. Coulthard began karting at age 11 and demonstrated early success before moving into car racing, including the British Formula Ford Championship and the Formula 3000 series. He made his Formula One debut with Williams in 1994, succeeding Ayrton Senna, and claimed his first Grand Prix victory in Portugal in 1995. Later that year, he transferred to McLaren, where he won five races between 1997 and 2000 and finished third in the 1998 standings. His best championship result came in 2001 when he finished second behind Michael Schumacher. After leaving McLaren in 2004, Coulthard joined Red Bull Racing, securing the team's first podium finish. He retired from Formula One at the end of 2008 with a record of thirteen wins, twelve pole positions, and eighteen fastest laps. Post-retirement, Coulthard has worked as a commentator and pundit, including roles with BBC and Channel 4, and has participated in motorsport events such as the Race of Champions, winning the competition in 2014 and 2018.
