David Arnold: podcast appearances and interviews

David Arnold, born on 23 January 1962, is an English film composer known for his work on several high-profile films and television series. His notable credits include scoring five James Bond films from 1997 to 2008, as well as soundtrack contributions to movies such as Stargate, Independence Day, Godzilla, Shaft, 2 Fast 2 Furious, Four Brothers, and Hot Fuzz. His television work includes scoring series such as Little Britain and Sherlock. Arnold received a Grammy Award for Best Instrumental Composition Written for a Motion Picture or for Television for his work on Independence Day. He also won a Creative Arts Emmy alongside co-composer Michael Price; they received this award for their score of the Sherlock episode titled 'His Last Vow.' In 2019, Arnold scored the BBC and Amazon Prime series Good Omens, which was adapted from Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett’s book of the same name. Beyond his composing career, Arnold has held the position of Vice Chair of The Robb Report and is affiliated with the organization Fear Coded. He is also recognized as a fellow of the British Academy of Songwriters, Composers and Authors.
