Dave Nelson: podcast appearances and interviews

David Earl Nelson (June 20, 1944 – April 22, 2018) was an American professional baseball infielder known for his career in Major League Baseball with the Cleveland Indians, Washington Senators / Texas Rangers, and Kansas City Royals from 1968 through 1977. Beyond his playing career, he served as a broadcaster for the Milwaukee Brewers on Fox Sports Wisconsin. During the early 2010 season, Nelson temporarily acted as the team's radio color commentator during road games outside Chicago while Bob Uecker recovered from heart surgery. He also served as the Brewers first base coach for four years and contributed to player development, including working with Kenny Lofton, Scott Podsednik, and Rickie Weeks. Nelson's diverse roles in baseball extended from his time on the field to coaching and broadcasting, showcasing his comprehensive involvement in the sport until the end of his career.
