Dave Lapham, born on June 24, 1952, is an American former professional football player. He played as a guard in the National Football League for the Cincinnati Bengals from 1974 to 1983 and later in the United States Football League for the New Jersey Generals from 1984 to 1985. Lapham played college football at Syracuse University for the Syracuse Orange. Throughout his professional career, he demonstrated versatility by playing all five line positions and was a significant contributor to the 1981 Bengals team that won the AFC championship, although they narrowly missed a victory in Super Bowl XVI against the San Francisco 49ers. After retiring from active play, Lapham transitioned into broadcasting and has served as the Bengals radio color commentator for over three decades. He is also a local Bengals television analyst and radio host. In addition to his work related to the Bengals, Lapham is a football analyst for Fox Sports Network, focusing on Big 12 conference games.
