David Michael Bautista Jr. is an American actor and retired professional wrestler. He began his wrestling career in 1999 and signed with WWE in 2000. Bautista gained prominence during the Ruthless Aggression Era with multiple stints in WWE between 2002 and 2019. He was known for his time as a member of Evolution and achieved significant success, including winning the WWE Championship twice and the World Heavyweight Championship four times. His first reign as World Heavyweight Champion was the longest in the history of the title. Bautista also won the Royal Rumble in 2005 and 2014 and headlined WrestleMania 21 and WrestleMania XXX, the latter being one of the most financially successful pay-per-view events. He retired from professional wrestling after WrestleMania 35 in 2019.
