Daniel Warren Johnson: podcast appearances and interviews

Daniel Warren Johnson, born in March 1987, is an American comic book artist and writer based in Chicago. His work has been published by major publishers including Image, Marvel, and DC. Johnson has collaborated with colorist Mike Spicer on various projects beginning with Extremity, and the duo also worked together on Wonder Woman: Dead Earth and Beta Ray Bill: Argent Star mini-series. He released a solo project titled Do A Powerbomb in 2022. His works have been translated into five languages. Johnson has received several industry awards and nominations, including the ComicBook.com Golden Issues Award for Best Artist in 2021, largely for his skill in illustrating fight scenes and conveying empathy. He was also nominated for IGN's Best Comic Book Artist in 2020. His work on Do A Powerbomb and other series has garnered further recognition, leading to a nomination for Best Limited Series at the Eisner Awards in 2022. In 2023, he won the award for Best Publication for Teens. His work on Transformers in 2024 earned him two additional Eisner Awards for Best Continuing Series and Best Writer/Artist.
