About Daniel Parker
Daniel Parker (April 6, 1781 – December 3, 1844) was an American minister associated with the Primitive Baptist Church in the Southern United States. He founded several churches, including the Pilgrim Primitive Baptist Church at Elkhart, Texas, which is the location of the Parker family cemetery. As an elder, Parker led a group that separated from the Primitive Baptist Church to form the Two-Seed-in-the-Spirit Predestinarian Baptists. He is recognized as one of the earliest documented proponents of the doctrine of Serpent Seed within Protestant Christianity. His religious activities and leadership contributed to the development of specific theological movements in the early 19th century.
