Daniel House, born on August 8, 1961, is an American business owner and former musician. He co-founded the grunge band Skin Yard, serving as its bass player from 1985 to 1992. As a musician and entrepreneur, he played a significant role in the Seattle music scene. House was also the president and owner of C/Z Records, an independent record label based in Seattle. Under his leadership, C/Z Records released music by numerous bands, including 7 Year Bitch, Built to Spill, Coffin Break, Engine Kid, The Gits, Hammerbox, Love Battery, The Melvins, The Presidents of the United States of America, Silkworm, and Skin Yard. In 2003, House relocated from Seattle to Los Angeles, where he oversaw the development of the now-defunct DownloadPunk.com and the online dating website RocknRollDating.com, which was focused on music enthusiasts. His career has spanned both the music industry and digital media, reflecting his diverse interests and contributions to the development of independent music and online culture.
