About Dallin
Dallin Harris Oaks, born on August 12, 1932, in Provo, Utah, is a prominent American religious leader and former jurist. He has served in key leadership roles within The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, including as the eighteenth president of the church. Oaks was a member of the church's Quorum of the Twelve Apostles starting in 1984 and served as the first counselor in the church's First Presidency from 2018 to 2025. Throughout his tenure, he has been recognized as a dedication speaker at various events. Before his religious service, Oaks pursued an academic and legal career. He studied accounting at Brigham Young University and later attended law school at the University of Chicago, where he was editor-in-chief of the University of Chicago Law Review. After graduating in 1957, he clerked for Chief Justice Earl Warren at the U.S. Supreme Court and practiced law at Kirkland & Ellis. He then returned to academia as a professor of law at the University of Chicago. In administrative roles, Oaks succeeded Ernest L. Wilkinson as the president of BYU in 1971 and held that position until 1980, when he was appointed to the Utah Supreme Court. During his professional career, he was considered twice for nomination to the U.S. Supreme Court by presidents Gerald Ford and Ronald Reagan, but was not ultimately nominated. His career reflects a blend of legal, academic, and religious leadership.

A talent profile represents one person (founder, executive, or spokesperson) you are booking onto podcasts. It includes their bio, topics, headshots, and outreach history. Team plans include 5 profiles; agency plans are pay-as-you-go.
Can I switch plans later?
Yes, at any time. Upgrades take effect immediately; downgrades apply at the end of the current billing period. Contact support if you need help migrating between plan families.
Do you offer a free trial?
Every paid plan includes a 15-day free trial. Your card is saved at signup but you will not be charged until day 16. Cancel any time from your dashboard.
What happens if I cancel?
You keep access until the end of your current billing period. No charges after that. Your data is retained for 30 days in case you reactivate.
