Dallas Taliaferro Taylor, born on May 17, 1980, is an American musician known for his role as the vocalist for the heavy metal band Maylene and the Sons of Disaster. He formed the band in 2004 after leaving the band Underoath. Taylor was a founding member of Underoath and served as its original vocalist, performing on three albums: Act of Depression, Cries of the Past, and The Changing of Times. His contributions to these albums helped establish his presence in the metal music scene before his departure from the band in 2003. After leaving Underoath, Taylor continued his musical career by founding and leading Maylene and the Sons of Disaster, further cementing his role in the genre.
