Craig Silverman: podcast appearances and interviews

Craig Silverman is a Canadian journalist and a reporter at ProPublica. He previously served as the media editor of BuzzFeed and was the head of BuzzFeed's Canadian division. Silverman is recognized as an expert in the field of fake news and media accuracy. He founded the 'Regret the Error' blog in 2004, which focuses on fact-checking and media inaccuracy, and authored a book of the same name that gained notable recognition and received the Arthur Rowse Award for Press Criticism from the National Press Club. In 2011, Silverman became an adjunct faculty member at the Poynter Institute for Media Studies. He is the founder of Emergent, a website dedicated to tracking hoaxes and rumors, and has co-authored a biography of hacker Michael Calce, known as MafiaBoy. His work has earned him awards including the 2013 Mirror Award for Best Commentary in Digital Media. Born in Nova Scotia, Silverman earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism from Concordia University in Montreal and later moved to Toronto to work with BuzzFeed.
