Colin Woodard: podcast appearances and interviews

Colin Strohn Woodard, born on December 3, 1968, is an American journalist and writer recognized for his exploration of regional cultures in North America. His notable works include American Nations: A History of the Eleven Rival Regional Cultures of North America, published in 2011, The Republic of Pirates in 2007, and The Lobster Coast in 2004. The latter provides a cultural and environmental history of coastal Maine. Woodard's writing often examines how the historically distinct regional cultures influence contemporary politics, society, and health. Currently, he holds the Libby Lecture in Natural Resource Policy at the University of Maine, where his work continues to explore the intersections of regional identity, culture, and environmental policy.
