Colin Stuart Montgomerie, born 23 June 1963, is a Scottish professional golfer recognized as a World Golf Hall of Famer and an Officer of the Order of the British Empire. He has established a notable record on the European Tour, securing a total of 31 victories, making him third among European players and fourth on the all-time list of European Tour wins. Montgomerie held the European Tour Order of Merit title eight times, with a remarkable streak of seven consecutive wins from 1993 to 1999. His achievements include winning three consecutive Volvo PGA Championships at Wentworth Club between 1998 and 2000. Despite his success on the European Tour, Montgomerie did not secure a win on the PGA Tour. Throughout his career, he finished as a runner-up on five occasions in major championships and reached a career-high world ranking of second. He was inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame in 2013. After turning 50 in 2013, Montgomerie transitioned to senior golf, achieving success on both the PGA Tour Champions and the European Senior Tour.
