Cillian Murphy: podcast appearances and interviews

Cillian Murphy, born on 25 May 1976, is an Irish actor and film producer whose work includes both stage and screen performances. His career began with his professional debut in Enda Walsh's 1996 play Disco Pigs, a role he later reprised in the 2001 film adaptation. Murphy's early film credits feature a range of genres, including the horror film 28 Days Later, the dark comedy Intermission, the thriller Red Eye, the Irish war drama The Wind That Shakes the Barley, and the science fiction thriller Sunshine. He also received a Golden Globe Award nomination for his role as a transgender Irish woman in Breakfast on Pluto. Murphy has collaborated extensively with filmmaker Christopher Nolan, starting in 2005 with the role of Scarecrow in The Dark Knight trilogy. His appearances in Nolan's films also include Inception and Dunkirk. He gained wider recognition for his portrayal of Tommy Shelby in the BBC series Peaky Blinders, which aired from 2013 to 2022, and starred in the horror sequel A Quiet Place Part II. In 2023, Murphy played J. Robert Oppenheimer in Nolan's film Oppenheimer, for which he received the BAFTA and Academy Award for Best Actor.
