Christina Applegate is a retired American actress and author. She gained prominence in the late 1980s for her role as Kelly Bundy in the Fox sitcom Married... with Children, which she played for a decade. Her career includes a titular role in the sitcom Jesse and guest appearances such as in the NBC series Friends, for which she received the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series.
