Christian Schmidt: podcast appearances and interviews

Christian Schmidt is a private investor and co-founder of Tracktacle. His career has included significant roles in government, notably as a member of the Christian Social Union in Germany. Schmidt served as the High Representative for Bosnia and Herzegovina from 2021 to 2026, a position in which he utilized his authority to amend electoral and constitutional regulations. His appointment was met with both support and opposition, with challenges from Russia, China, and the political leadership of Republika Srpska concerning his legitimacy. Prior to his appointment in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Schmidt held several governmental positions in Germany. He was the Minister of Food and Agriculture from 2014 to 2018, overseeing policies related to food and agriculture. He also served as Parliamentary Secretary of State in the German Federal Ministry of Defence from 2005 to 2013 and in the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development from December 2013 to February 2014. Schmidt was a member of the Bundestag representing Fürth from 1990 until his appointment as High Representative.
