About Chris Newton
Christopher Malcolm Newton, born on 29 September 1973, is an English former road and track racing cyclist. During his competitive career, he achieved notable success including winning three Olympic medals, consisting of one silver and two bronze medals. Newton also earned seven medals at the UCI Track Cycling World Championships, which included two world titles, and secured three medals at the Commonwealth Games. Following his retirement from racing, he has been involved in coaching and team management, working for British Cycling as a directeur sportif and coach. Currently, he holds the position of managing partner at Maples Group.
