Cheryl Baker: podcast appearances and interviews

Rita Maria Stroud, known professionally as Cheryl Baker, is an English singer and television presenter. She was a member of the pop group Bucks Fizz, which achieved notable success including winning the 1981 Eurovision Song Contest. Bucks Fizz's discography includes 20 singles that reached the UK top 60 between 1981 and 1988, with three number one hits: Making Your Mind Up, The Land of Make Believe, and My Camera Never Lies. Prior to her tenure with Bucks Fizz, Baker was part of Co-Co, representing the UK at the 1978 Eurovision Song Contest. She left Bucks Fizz in 1993 to pursue a career in television. During the mid-1980s, she began working as a television presenter, hosting shows such as How Dare You! and The Saturday Picture Show. She also co-hosted Record Breakers from 1987 to 1997 and hosted her own show Eggs 'n' Baker from 1988 to 1993, which featured cooking segments and musical guests. Baker's television appearances include participation in Popstar to Operastar, Celebrity Mastermind, and Dancing on Ice. In 2004, she formed the group Original Bucks Fizz with Shelley Preston and Mike Nolan; Jay Aston later joined the group. The group underwent rebranding and became known as the Fizz in 2017. Besides her music career, Baker has also appeared in pantomimes and musical theatre productions such as Footloose.
