Chandrika Tandon: podcast appearances and interviews

Chandrika Krishnamurthy Tandon is an Indian-American businesswoman, philanthropist, and Grammy-winning musical artist born in 1954. She is notably recognized for her pioneering role as the first Indian-American woman to be elected partner at McKinsey and Company. In 2015, she and her husband Ranjan Tandon donated 100 million dollars to the NYU Polytechnic School of Engineering, which was subsequently renamed the NYU Tandon School of Engineering. Tandon has held positions as a trustee for New York University, NYU Langone Health, and the American India Foundation, among others. She has also served on the President's Council on International Activities at Yale University, the President's Advisory Council at Berklee College of Music, and the Board of Governors for the New York Academy of Sciences. Beyond her business and philanthropic pursuits, Tandon is a trained composer and vocalist with expertise in Hindustani, Carnatic, and Western musical traditions. She released her debut studio album, Soul Call, in 2009, which earned a Grammy nomination in 2011 for contemporary world music. In 2024, she released her latest album Triveni and received her first Grammy award for Best New Age, Ambient or Chant Album at the age of 70.
