Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa was a Japanese actor and film producer born on September 27, 1950. He was known for his extensive work in film and television, often portraying villainous characters. Tagawa's notable film roles include appearances in The Last Emperor, Licence to Kill, Showdown in Little Tokyo, American Me, Rising Sun, Mortal Kombat, The Phantom, Snow Falling on Cedars, Pearl Harbor, Planet of the Apes, Memoirs of a Geisha, Tekken, 47 Ronin, Tekken 2: Kazuya's Revenge, and Kubo and the Two Strings. Additionally, he was recognized for his television work, notably portraying Lt. A. J. Shimamura in the series Nash Bridges for 15 episodes. Tagawa also starred as Trade Minister Nobusuke Tagomi in the Amazon Prime series The Man in the High Castle from 2015 to 2018 and played Hiroki Watanabe in the Netflix series Lost in Space from 2018 to 2021.
