Carl Benedikt Frey: podcast appearances and interviews

Carl Benedikt Frey is a Swedish-German economist and economic historian who holds the position of associate professor of AI and Work at the University of Oxford's Oxford Internet Institute. He is also a Fellow of Mansfield College at the University of Oxford. Frey is known for his influential 2013 paper with Maike Osborne titled 'The Future of Employment,' which estimated that 47 percent of jobs in the United States were at high risk of automation. This work is considered one of the earliest and most cited studies concerning the impact of artificial intelligence on labor markets. In addition to his academic contributions, Frey is the author of the books The Technology Trap, published in 2019, and How Progress Ends, expected in 2025. His writings have garnered recognition, with How Progress Ends being a finalist for both the Lionel Gelber Prize and the Financial Times Business Book of the Year Award.
