Bruce Hornsby: podcast appearances and interviews

Bruce Randall Hornsby, born on November 23, 1954, is an American singer-songwriter and pianist known for his eclectic musical style that incorporates elements from folk, jazz, modern classical, bluegrass, rock, and jam band traditions. He gained prominence with his hit song 'The Way It Is' and has received three Grammy Awards. In 1987, he was awarded the Grammy for Best New Artist along with Bruce Hornsby and the Range. He won another Grammy in 1990 for Best Bluegrass Recording and a third in 1994 for Best Pop Instrumental Performance. Hornsby has collaborated with various musicians and projects throughout his career. He leads the touring band Bruce Hornsby and the Noisemakers and has worked on a bluegrass project with Ricky Skaggs. Additionally, Hornsby has contributed as a session and guest musician and was a touring member of the Grateful Dead from September 1990 to March 1992, performing in over 100 shows with the band.
