Bruce Anthony Buffer, born on May 21, 1957, is an American professional mixed martial arts ring announcer and the official octagon announcer for the Ultimate Fighting Championship. He is widely recognized as the 'Veteran Voice of the Octagon' and is known for his signature catchphrase 'It's time!', which he delivers before the main event of a UFC card. Buffer is the half-brother of Michael Buffer, a notable boxing and professional wrestling ring announcer, and serves as the president and CEO of their joint company, The Buffer Partnership. In addition to his announcing career, Buffer holds a black belt in Tang Soo Do and has experience as a kickboxer. His contributions to sports announcing were acknowledged when he was inducted into the International Sports Hall of Fame in 2024.
