Brian Moore: podcast appearances and interviews

Brian Moore was a novelist and screenwriter born in Northern Ireland on 25 August 1921. He emigrated to Canada and later resided in the United States. Moore was well known for his detailed descriptions of life in Northern Ireland during and after the Second World War. His work often explored the inter-communal divisions of The Troubles, earning him recognition as one of the few genuine masters of the contemporary novel. Throughout his career, Moore received notable awards including the James Tait Black Memorial Prize in 1975 and the inaugural Sunday Express Book of the Year award in 1987. He was also shortlisted for the Booker Prize three times, in 1976, 1987, and 1990. In addition to his novels, Moore authored screenplays, with several of his books adapted into films. He passed away on 11 January 1999, leaving a legacy as a significant figure in contemporary literature.
